Fiona Veitch Smith

Formerly a journalist, and having written for publications as diverse as 'Woman Alive' and 'Sports Illustrated', Fiona Veitch Smith now writes across all media. Her theatre work won her the People's Play award for Pig Stew in 2010. Her screen work includes short films, a true-life love story feature film and the adaptation of a series of children's picture books to the screen. Her published fiction is primarily for children, having ghost-penned the Myro the Microlight series for Nick Rose Publishing. She has also had a children's novel, Donovon's Rainbow, published with Vineyard International Publishing and has written for Aquila Children's Magazine. She has written devotional booklets for CWR and is a regular contributor to 'The Christian Writer'.

Her books with Crafty Publishing include the Young David series of picture books, her first adult novel, The Peace Garden, and a collection of literary short stories, Different Tracks, also written for adults.

Born in Northumberland, she lived as a teenager and young adult in South Africa where she met her husband, Rodney. They now live with their daughter Megan and two dogs Ricky and Ruby in Newcastle upon Tyne.
